Frequently asked questions
Do we need to be on ZephyrOne?
Yes. Zephyr Sites is offered to clubs that use ZephyrOne to run their club, and it’s included for them. It isn’t available on its own at the moment.
What does it cost?
Nothing. Zephyr Sites is included with ZephyrOne, which has no subscription for your club or your members. ZephyrOne is funded by a small service fee on payments taken online through it by card or PayPal, which your club can absorb or pass on. Your website itself carries no fee.
Do our volunteers need to be technical?
No. If you can write an email and add a photo to it, you can update a page. Pages are built from ready-made blocks, so they always look tidy on phones as well as computers.
Can we keep our web address?
Yes. You keep your domain name with whoever you registered it with. Add two settings with them once and we connect it to your new site; the security certificate renews itself. Until then, your site lives at yourclub.zephyrone.app.
We’re on WordPress — will our old links break?
No. Old WordPress addresses can be pointed at your new pages, so bookmarks and search results keep working.
Where do contact form enquiries go?
To the people you choose for each kind of enquiry. They’re sent from your club’s own email account and kept on record so nothing gets lost.
Can we show our race results and webcam?
Yes. Sailwave results, live webcams, WeatherLink weather stations and YouTube videos can all go straight onto your pages.
